Women's Aid launches 10-year strategy

Date:14 SEP 2026
Third slide

On 10th September 2026, Women's Aid launched their 10-year strategy: Power, purpose and voice – the pathway to ending domestic abuse’.

On their website, they state:

"Today marks the launch of our 10-year strategy – Women’s Aid’s strategic vision for a future free from abuse. It is grounded in compassion, courage and a commitment to justice for women and children experiencing abuse.

Women’s Aid exists to ensure that women and children experiencing abuse get the support they need; that the voices of survivors and the expertise of specialist services are amplified and centered in decision making; and that domestic abuse is no longer tolerated.

This strategy draws expertise and learnings from the violence against women and girls sector and beyond and recognises that it is not enough to call for change, we also have a responsibility to lead a strategic pivot into power and innovation. We will do this through 12 priority work areas, each contributing towards a future free from abuse".

Chief Executive Officer, Farah Nazeer, said “My hope is that one day, we will no longer be needed and women and children will be safe. However, until that day comes, we are here. Strong and united, driving change through power, protection, provision and prevention.”
