Volume of care order applications falls by 16%

According to the latest figures released by Cafcass, a total of 1,001 new care order applications was received in February 2019, which is 16.1% fewer than in February 2018.

The total of new care order applications for the 6 months from September was 6,531, which is 5.6% lower than for the period September to February last year, when the total was 6,922.
