Volume of care order applications falls

According to the latest figures released by Cafcass, a total of 1,065 new care order applications was received in September 2018, which is 3.8% fewer than in September 2017.
The total of new care order applications for the 6 months from April was 6,939, which is 3.2% lower than for the period April to September last year, when the total was 7,166.
