Grandparents Plus, a charity dedicated to supporting kinship carers and their families, has launched its annual State of the Nation survey.
"The Grandparents Plus annual State of the Nation survey helps give us a better picture of what it is like to be a kinship carer and to gather evidence of where more support and understanding is needed for kinship carers and their families. This helps us to develop services to better support kinship carers as well as raise awareness of kinship care in the media and among decision makers like local authorities and the national government."
The survey covers the impact that becoming a kinship carer has had on family, friendships. It also covers how it feels to be a kinship carer and how other people view kinship care. They also want to hear about the children in care of carers.
The survey can be completed here.
