The General Social Care Council (GSCC) is leading a consultation on Roles and tasks of social work in England. The project is being led by a team consisting of the GSCC, the Commission for Social Care Inspection, the Social Care Institute for Excellence, Skills for Care, and the Children's Workforce Development Council supported by a 30 strong stakeholder reference group which includes service users, carers and members of other professions.
