Hassan Sarwar considers the development and usage of Hadkinson Orders in financial remedy proceedings.  The article provides a helpful overview of a tool that can be employed by representatives against a wilfully non-compliant litigant.  He examines the history of the order, how it has evolved through the implementation of Article 6 ECHR by the Human Rights Act 1998, and examples through reported decisions of how orders can be used in financial remedy proceedings.  Finally, there is an analysis of the procedure in applying for such an order.
