Combined resources will create greater customer value and depth of content across a variety of practice areas.

LONDON, 9 July 2015 - LexisNexis UK (www.lexisnexis.co.uk) a leading provider of content and technology solutions, today announced its intention to acquire Jordan Publishing, a legal publisher in the UK. The transaction is subject to regulatory review and certain other customary conditions.

The Jordan Publishing business and its content offering, including flagship titles such as Family Court Practice, are highly complementary to LexisNexis’ UK portfolio. While LexisNexis will continue to offer Jordan Publishing’s portfolio of print titles, the value of this transaction to customers is expected to unfold in the evolution of online offerings.

LexisNexis has an extensive suite of online solutions, and the acquisition will allow both Jordan Publishing’s and LexisNexis’ customers to have access to a larger and deeper range of complementary content and products. The combined offerings will improve flexibility and choice for customers, taking into account diverse customer needs and budgets.

Christian Fleck, Managing Director of LNUK, comments:

'Combining the two businesses will create value for customers by providing additional flexibility and choice. We are excited about the prospect of welcoming Jordan Publishing’s employees, authors and customers to the LexisNexis family pending regulatory approval.'
Richard Templeton, Chairman of The West of England Trust Limited, the owner of Jordan Publishing, said today:

'Over the years we have created a very successful and profitable business but we now recognise that new technology is driving fundamental changes in how the business operates and meeting successfully this challenge for our customers and employees will be better provided within a larger entity such as LexisNexis.'
