Over the course of the past 18 months or so, we have seen new initiatives being brought into family proceedings, so as to achieve amongst other aims, clarity, efficiency and a greater method of reducing delay in such proceedings. One such initiative is the new provisions governing instructing of experts. This article considers this, as well as the some of the significant funding guidance and case law surrounding this area.
