Figures released by Cafcass show that the number of new private law cases received in July 2015 increased by 23% from July 2014 levels. A total of 3,554 new cases were received.

This is slightly higher than the number of private law cases received in June 2015, which totalled 3,466 and resulted in a 33% rise year on year.
