(Queen's Bench Division (Divisional Court); Richards LJ and Cranston J; 4 November 2010)
The wife's solicitor disclosed to the Child Support Agency copies of documents disclosed in the ancillary relief proceedings. The solicitor admitted contempt of court and apologised, but only after proceedings started. At issue was whether there should be a committal for contempt.
The court refused the committal application based on the fact that permission would have been given to disclose had it been sought and that the contempt was not very serious.
