Recognition for campaigning family lawyers

Date:6 JUL 2007

Two Resolution and Family Mediators Association members topped the bill in the family category of this year's Legal Aid Lawyer of the Year Awards. Stafford lawyer and mediator Neil Robinson, director of Nowell Meller Solicitors Limited and The Mediation Centre, won the award, with Exeter collaborative lawyer Norman Hartnell a close second. Both combine their leadership of ADR services with traditional advocacy and advice for children and families. So hard have the two men worked to promote the role and benefits of mediation in family and hybrid cases that they were keen to share the honour, something Neil acknowledged on receipt of the award from Cherie Booth QC.
