President issues consultation on draft adoption guidance

Date:19 JAN 2016
The President of the Family Division, Sir James Munby, has today sent around for consultation a draft proposal for guidance to replace the President’s Guidance: Listing Final Hearings in Adoption cases from 3 October 2008.

Recent cases have shown the guidance requires updating to clarify the legal requirements and practical arrangements for final hearings in adoption applications and visits.

The President is seeking views and suggestions on the guidance and all responses should be sent by email to Andrew Shaw on andrew.shaw@judiciary.gsi.gov.uk by 1 March 2016.

The draft adoption guidance is available to download here.
