Nine per cent increase in care applications received by Cafcass in July

Figures released by Cafcass show that the number of care applications received in
July 2015 increased by 9% from
July 2014 levels. A total of
1,111 care applications were received.
This is slightly lower than the number of care applications received between
April 2014 and
March 2015: during this period Cafcass received
11,149 applications. This represents a
5% increase in comparison to the same period in the previous financial year when
10,620 applications were received.
