New President of the Social Security and Child Support Appeal Tribunal

On 12 October the Lord Chancellor appointed Mr Robert Ian Martin to be President of the Social Security and Child Support Appeal Tribunal with effect from 1 November 2007. Mr Martin replaces His Honour Judge Michael Harris who retired as President of the Social Security and Child Support Appeal Tribunal on 6 April 2007, but had undertaken the duties of President until his replacement was appointed. Mr Martin is 58 and was admitted as a solicitor in 1974.
