New edition of Children the Modern Law celebrated with launch party

Publication of this new edition was celebrated with a party at the Law Society last week.

Children: The Modern Law is well-established as the leading textbook dealing comprehensively with the law and policy relating to children.

This fourth edition is co-authored by Andrew Bainham, Fellow of Christ's College, University of Cambridge; Barrister 14 Gray's Inn Square and Stephen Gilmore, Senior Lecturer in Family Law, King's College London, with specialist contributions by Professors Neville Harris and Kathryn Hollingsworth.

It has been extensively revised and updated to take account of significant legislative, case law and other developments including: 

• The Family Justice Review 2011, the Government Response 2012 and the likely impact of the Children and Families Bill 2013.
