New care applications received by Cafcass in June represents highest ever number for any one month

Latest figures released by Cafcass reveal that new care applications received in June 2016 represents the highest ever number of applications for any one month.
In June 2016, Cafcass received a total of 1,265 care applications. This figure represents a 13% increase compared to those received in June 2015. In total Cafcass received 3,638 new care applications between April and June 2016.
The latest year to date demand is 21.5% (643 applications) higher than April to June 2015 and 42.2% (1,079 applications) higher than April to June 2014.
