Mr Justice Roderic Wood Asks for Public Help to Find Missing Children

Date:18 OCT 2012
Law Reporter

A judge has asked for help from the public to find four children who were abducted by their mother. Mr Justice Roderic Wood was said to be ‘very concerned' for the children aged between 8 and 14 and permitted the release of their names: Jessica, Tomas, Eva and David Palacin Jones. Solicitors acting for the father were also authorised to release photographs of the children.

Mr Justice Hedley last week found that the mother had abducted her children for a second time, the first being in 2009, and ordered their return to their father's home in Spain by midnight on Friday 12 October. The father had not seen the children since the end of June when they came to the UK with their mother.

The mother's application to set aside the order was refused and when police officers arrived at her home to enforce the court order they discovered the mother, along with her partner, had abducted the children in the middle of the night.
