Financial remedies – Marriage and divorce – Husband ordered to pay wife a lump sum towards her housing costs and thereafter monthly periodical payments – Wife made unwise financial transactions and lost money – Whether the Court of Appeal was wrong to increase monthly payments to account for the wife’s rental expenditure

 The Supreme Court held that divorcees cannot expect their ex-partners to pay for their housing costs twice, if they lose their first lump sum through mismanagement.
