Miller: Practitioners Expectations Disappointed
Date:10 OCT 2005

Andrew Meehan, Solicitor, Addleshaw Goddard, Leeds. It was hoped that the Court of Appeal decision in Miller v Miller [2005] EWCA Civ 984, [2005] Fam Law 537, where a wife was awarded £5 million after a marriage of less than 3 years duration, would provide some debate and guidance upon the issue of ancillary relief and short marriages. Andrew Meehan analyses the case and draws out the features which could be relevant in similar, but less lucrative, situations. See October [2005] Fam Law 787 for the full article.
