LSC publish second edition of Improving your Quality Guide

Date:2 DEC 2008

The Legal Services Commission has published the Second Edition to the Family Guide of Improving your Quality.

Although the First Edition of this Guide was published quite recently, in July 2007, the issues identified as significant were drawn from reports written during 2006. In preparing this Second Edition a substantial number of more recent reports have been analysed to see whether the issues identified as significant have changed over time.

The Improving your Quality guides make available common quality issues identified by peer reviewers in specific categories of law. The guides concentrate on the issues that impact on quality and may contribute towards a lower rating at peer review.

The Peer Review process provides a unique opportunity to access a wealth of information directly related to the quality of legal advice and information provided to clients. It provides an opportunity to identify areas of good practice and areas where improvements are required.
