London law firm selling divorce gift vouchers

Date:18 DEC 2009

London based divorce firm, Lloyd Platt & Company Ltd, has brought a whole new entity to the Christmas stocking this year. The firm are selling vouchers for half an hour or one hour divorce legal advice sessions.

According to the firm, the vouchers have been successful with people who witnessed a decline in their relative or friend's relationship and want them to obtain advice and see the divorce gift voucher as a "subtle and less embarrassing way" of dealing with the subject.

Mistresses have also approached the firm enquiring as to the amounts that they can pay and vouchers that they can buy for their lovers to get on with the promise of divorcing their wives.

The vouchers cost from £125 plus VAT - cheap compared to the probable cost of psychiatric treatment for the poor unsuspecting person who opens the present on Christmas morning.
