Liza Gordon-Saker appointed to be a District Judge

Liza Gordon-Saker has been appointed to be a District Judge of the Principal Registry of the Family Division with effect from Monday 25 January 2010.

Mrs Gordon-Saker, 50, heads Fenners Chambers Family Group, was called to the Bar in 1982 and was appointed as a Deputy District Judge in 2006.

Her practice includes ancillary relief applications in divorce proceedings and financial applications under the Children Act and between cohabiting couples. She has wide experience in Children Act matters, both public and private law, and in adoption, representing parents, local authorities and Children's Guardians.

She is a member of the Committee of the Family Law Bar Association and was a Director of the Bar Mutual Indemnity Fund from 1988-2002.

Liza Gordon-Saker will be a guest speaker at the Family Law Update conferences in Nottingham on 16 March and Cambridge on 18 March 2010. For more information click here.
