Mr Justice Baker appointed Senior Family Liaison Judge

Following consultation with the Lord Chief Justice, the President of the Family Division, Sir James Munby, has appointed Mr Justice Baker to serve as the Senior Family Liaison Judge. The appointment will take immediate effect and Baker J will carry out the role alongside his existing commitments as the Family Division Liaison Judge for the western circuit, a role he has carried out since 2011.
Baker J was called to the Bar in 1978 and took Silk in 2001. He was appointed a Recorder in 1999 and a High Court judge of the Family Division in 2009.
