This item provides a brief update to the article at [2006] Fam Law 1085 on Jersey Trusts and the extent to which they were under attack as a consequence of overseas matrimonial proceedings. Firstly, the proposed amendments to the Trusts (Jersey) Law 1984 referred to in the article, came into force on 27 October 2006. Secondly, there has already been a case on the effect of these amendments, again in the matrimonial context Re the B Trust [2006] JRC 185. See February [2007] Fam Law for the full article.
