Jennifer Roberts QC appointed as High Court Judge

Jennifer Roberts QC is to be a Justice of the High Court with effect from 3 June 2014, on the retirement of Mr Justice Coleridge.

The Lord Chief Justice will assign Mrs Roberts to the Family Division.

Mrs Roberts was called to the Bar by the Inner Temple in 1988 and took Silk in 2009. She was appointed a Recorder in 2000 and is approved to sit as a deputy High Court Judge.

Mr Justice Coleridge, who is retiring, was called to the Bar by the Middle Temple
in 1970 and took Silk in 1993. He was appointed a Recorder in 1996 and a judge of the Family Division of the High Court in 2000.
