This article discusses the issues surrounding the moratorium on international adoption from Romania. It argues that the moratorium should be preserved indefinitely in the light of Romania's obligations under international Conventions, especially those under the European Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms 1950.
