Forced Marriage Bill

The Forced Marriage (Civil Protection) Bill will be considered further in Grand Committee in the House of Lords next Wednesday 25 April 2007. The Bill was introduced by Lord Lester of Herne Hill QC, a Liberal Democrat peer, and had its Second Reading in the House of Lords on 26 January 2007. There is overwhelming support for the Bill and the Government too has indicated its support.
