Family Justice Council Events

The Thames Valley Family Justice Council annual conference takes place at Oxford Town Hall on Friday 19 March from 9.30 am to 4.30 pm. The programme, entitled 'Contact: Conflict, Causes, Casualties, Resolution' includes information on contact activities as well as the new Practice Direction which builds on the Private Law Programme. Speakers include:

  • Samuel Stein, Consultant and Family Psychiatrist on 'Child Development and Mental Health: the effect of warring parents on their children';
  •  

  • District Judge Darbyshire, Reading County Court on 'Contact Activities and the New Private Law Programme Practice Direction';
  •  

  • Louis Ruddlesden, National Association of Child Contact Centres Regional Support Officer for South of England on 'Contact Centres: supported and supervised contact'; and
  • Anthony Miller, Cafcass on 'Cafcass: what and how is it doing?'
