The Family Justice Council Annual Report and Accounts 2005-2006 was published in September 2006. The strategic objectives for 2006-2007 include the following:
- Examining the use and role of experts in the family justice system
- Identifying and addressing major issues of concern in proceedings safeguarding children
- Ensuring better outcomes for parents and children in private law proceedings
- Identifying and addressing major issues which affect families in relation to financial and property matters
