Family Court Centres

Date:2 AUG 2006

A consultation document London Region Proposals for a Network of Family Courts Centres (CP 16/06) was published on 31 July 2006. It seeks views on the current proposals for developing a network of Family Courts Centres (FCCs) across Her Majesty's Courts Service (HMCS), London Region. The President of the Family Division's Family Strategy is that at all stages of a family case, the tier of judiciary (Family Proceedings Court Justices, District Judges, Recorders and Circuit Judges) should be the right level to deal with the complexity of the case. The strategy is designed to move more family work to Family Proceedings Courts (FPCs). The consultation ends on 23 October 2006. The document can be found on the Department for Constitutional Affairs' website at www.dca.gov.uk. For the full article see September [2006] Fam Law.
