Families Need Fathers launches new online resource to support Sure Start Centres

Date:12 JUN 2009

Families Need Fathers has announced the launch of Separated Families Matter, an online resource supported by The Parenting Fund, designed to help social care professionals working with children and separated parents.

Separated Families Matter is for anyone who works with children in any capacity or sector and anyone who works with adults who may be separated parents. The website provides information, ideas, tools and resources and links to other helpful organisations with the intention of helping professionals.

The charity hopes that the success of the website will lead to further collaborative work between Families Need Fathers and public services across the country.

The Separated Families Matter website was produced by Families Need Fathers in collaboration with Geoff Read, a practitioner with over thirty years experience in frontline community and education work and a member of Families Need Fathers, and The Parenting Fund (part of the Department for Children, Schools and Families).

The website also offers legal guidance and includes example paperwork and tools for working directly with clients.

For more information, visit the Separated Families Matter website: www.separatedfamiliesmatter.org.uk.
