Families Need Fathers appoints new Regional Coordinators

Date:28 MAY 2009

Families Need Fathers has appointed two new Regional Coordinators, Tony Upton and Emlyn Jones. The pair will be responsible for supporting volunteer development, services for members and fundraising in the North and Midlands of England respectively.

Emlyn joins the FNF staff after a career in the fire service and having chaired the Families Need Fathers Wirral/Liverpool branch for six years.

Tony has worked across the co-operative, charitable, educational, local authority, and industrial sectors and has been an activist on issues ranging from animal rights, stop the war, trade unionism and environmentalism. He has been a member of the Northampton Families Need Fathers branch since 2007.

Jon Davies, FNF Chief Executive said: "Families Need Fathers is a national organisation and these new posts reflect our intention to help children, parents and families across the country. It's fantastic that we were able to appoint these positions from within our ranks and look forward to the great work that Tony and Emlyn will be doing in their local areas."
