Draft Allocation Guidance

Date:22 JAN 2007

The President of the Family Division's Office has circulated to the judiciary and practitioner organisations a draft President's Guidance on Allocation relating to cases involving children and those under Part IV Family Law Act 1996 (non-molestation and occupation orders) . It will be formally issued in its final form in late 2007/early 2008 as a matter of national practice, following any amendment found to be necessary or appropriate in the light of the experience of the judicial initiatives currently under way in various court centres. The President meanwhile wishes the principles contained in the Guidance to be implemented in court centres so far as conditions permit. Any comments in the light of experience when doing so are to be forwarded to the President's Office by 5 April 2007. For further information see February [2007] Fam Law. The Draft Allocation Guidance is available in PDF format below in the Practice Guidance"."
