An examination of whether provisions in the Domestic Violence, Crime and Victims Act 2004, designed to prevent parents and others 'getting away' with the unlawful killing of children, will achieve the purpose of the Law Commission substantially to improve the criminal law where it is not clear which of a child's carers was responsible for causing the child's death or injury.
