Contact enforcement and parenting programmes - policy aims in confusion? [2004] CFLQ 1

This article reports on a recent study of the scheme for enforcing contact orders in Australia, which allows judges to send parents who breach court orders to a parenting support programme. The author concludes that the effectiveness of the Australian enforcement regime has been undermined by poor planning and by its embodiment of a confusion of policy objectives.
