Committee continues work on Family Procedure Rules

Date:10 APR 2007

The Family Procedure Rule Committee held an open meeting on 2 April 2007 to continue the construction of the Family Procedure Rules. The meeting worked through various sections of the draft legislation in detail, including the rules relating to occupation or non-molestation orders, costs orders, the service of justices reasons and the rules and practice direction relating to the instructions of single joint experts, which have been redrafted following an article in January [2007] Fam Law. The Committee emphasised their commitment to the new Rules being drafted in final form by April 2008 and in operation as of October 2008.
