'Best interests of the child' in the USA and Europe

Date:21 FEB 2006

Sarah Sargent. The USA and Europe have vastly differing interpretations of the 'best interest of the child' standard. This is particularly notable when the standard is applied in child welfare matters. Sarah Sargent's paper examines the consequences of these differing interpretations.
