Family Law launch audio CPD

Family lawyers are now able to gain CPD training whilst on the move thanks to the launch of Family Law audioCPD, an online library of 30 minute podcasts. 

The audio programmes consist of presentations given by leading family law experts discussing topical legal issues. Each podcast can be downloaded onto the listener's computer or MP3 player to be listened to immediately or at a more convenient time.

After listening to the podcast, practitioners can complete an online assessment enabling them to gain 1 CPD point. All of the programmes are fully accredited by the Solicitors Regulatory Authority, Institute of Legal Executives and Bar Standards Board. The listener can also keep track of all of their CPD points online with the Family Law CPDtracker service.

There are currently 21 different podcasts to download with more to be added in coming weeks. Each podcast falls under one of four specialisations: Agreements; Ancillary Relief; Public and Private Children Law; and Hot Topics.

The Evidence of Children in Family Law Proceedings by Charles Geekie QC from 1 Garden Court who acted in Re W before the Supreme Court;   

All you Need to Know About TOLATA by Francis Wilkinson from Field Court Chambers acted in Stack v Dowden before the House of Lords.

Amandeep Gill is the Professional Training PSL at Jordan Publishing and has been involved in setting up Family Law audioCPD. Amandeep is a qualified solicitor who previously worked at Davenport Lyons in London before joining Jordans earlier this year.
