The Attorney General is looking to recruit advocates for a
panel of special advocates, in particular those with family and employment tribunal experience. The competition is open to both barristers and solicitor-advocates with at least five years’ advocacy experience and all applications must be submitted by 18 September 2017.

Special advocates represent the interests of the excluded party in hearings where, with the permission of the forum, the excluded party seeks to rely on ‘closed’ evidence. The special advocate’s task is then to scrutinise the sensitive material.
