A £500 donation from AlphaBiolabs is helping to provide vital care for seriously ill children at Haven’s House Children’s Hospice in London, thanks to the company’s unique charity initiative that empowers legal professionals to give back to community causes.
For every testing instruction received from family law and social work professionals, AlphaBiolabs enters the customer’s name into its bimonthly Giving Back draw to ‘win’ a £500 donation for their preferred charity.
Alistair Banks, Family Law Consultant at Edwards Duthie Shamash Solicitors, was randomly selected in the company’s latest draw and nominated Haven House Children’s Hospice to receive the £500 donation.
Located in Woodford Green, East London, Haven House Children’s Hospice cares for seriously ill babies and children with life-limiting conditions, providing everything from end-of-life care to bereavement support, music therapy and more.
Alistair said: “I’ve had the privilege of attending several Haven House fundraising events over the years and am in awe of the work that they do caring for babies and children, as well as supporting families during extremely difficult times. I’m delighted that they have been able to benefit from my name being drawn from the hat.
Dominique Pharoah, Corporate Partnerships Manager at Haven House Children’s Hospice, said: “Contributions like this help fund specialist care for children living with life-limiting or life-threatening conditions, allowing us to provide valuable support wherever and whenever our families need us. We’re incredibly grateful to Alistair and AlphaBiolabs for their donation.”

The next Giving Back charity draw will take place at the end of June.
