Allocation to Judiciary Directions

Date:5 MAR 2007

District judges and recorders authorised to hear contested care applications are to be given jurisdiction to hear related placement proceedings. This will be achieved by amendments to the Allocation to Judiciary Directions 1999 (as amended), agreed with the President of the Family Division. The changes will come into force on 2 April 2007. The Family Proceedings (Allocation to Judiciary) (Amendment) Directions 2007 are published in Practice Guidance, below, and April [2007] Fam Law.
