Adoption Dismissal

According to New Law Journal of 2 March 2007, an employment tribunal has recently ruled that a car hire firm had unfairly dismissed an employee on account of her intention to adopt a child and take adoption leave.The tribunal said that the impact of the dismissal upon the claimants adoption plans had caused serious injury to her feelings and that there was clear evidence of less favourable treatment of women in comparison with men.
