Access to Legal Representation for Children in Care Questionnaire

Date:8 MAR 2007

Lawyers for Young People (LFYP), a specialist legal service based at Fisher Jones Greenwood LLP in Colchester, focuses on advising young people in care, leaving care and needing services. However, such young people face significant barriers in accessing legal assistance and if solicitors are to build this area of law into their existing practice they can only do so if the work is properly funded. In an attempt to ascertain what work is being done nationally in relation to this area of law, LFYP has devised an online questionnaire which can be found at www.lfyp.org.uk.
