What is your position and what do you do on a day-to-day basis?
I’m an Associate Solicitor based in a specialist family law practice in central London. I advise on a wide range of family law matters. I specialise in divorce complex high value finance cases (often involving commercial and international elements) and in disputes involving children.
How long have you been in this role and what brought you here?
I’ve been a qualified solicitor for four years. I was drawn to family law because the work has the potential to have a direct tangible and positive impact on people’s day to day lives. I was fortunate to start my training contract on completing my legal studies and have happily specialised in family law since qualifying.
Any memorable stories from your career so far?
Most relate to the numerous acts of kindness I’ve witnessed from individuals who volunteer for legal charities and who work pro bono for vulnerable clients. They do incredible work.
What is the best and worst part of the day for you?
The worst part is facing obstacles in progressing a client’s case. The best part is successfully navigating those obstacles...
