A New Era for Care Planning?

This article covers some of the key elements surrounding the new Care Planning, Placement and Case Review (England) Regulations 2010 (SI 2010/959) which came into effect on 1 April 2011. These regulations, abbreviated as CPPCR in this article, were made under the new provisions which came under the Children Act 1989 (CA 1989), notably s 22(c), s 23(za), s 23(zb), s 25A and s 25B as well as para 12(a)-(e) of Sch 2. All of these new provisions were brought in by the Children and Young Persons Act 2008 (CYPA).
