LSC introduces new family fees

The LSC has introduced new family fee for the Family Advocacy Scheme (FAS) and the Private Family Law representation Scheme (PFLRS).

FAS a single graduated fee scheme, covering payments to both solicitor advocates and barristers for public and private family law cases.

PFLRS pays solicitors standard fees, covering work (excluding advocacy) from the issue of proceedings up to the conclusion of the final hearing.

The LSC is offering free online training and guidance to help practitioners understand the new schemes. The training is is available on the LSC Provider Training Website.

In addition, the LSC has issued three new forms to support the schemes:

  • CLAIM1A for non-advocacy work
  • CLAIM5A for advocacy work
  • Advocates' Attendance Form for advocates.
