The annual Association of Lawyers for Children's Hershman/Levy Memorial Lecture is to be held in London tomorrow evening.
The lecture, sponsored by Family Law, is held in memory of David Hershman QC, distinguished barrister, lecturer and co-author of Hershman and McFarlane: Children Law and Practice (Family Law) and Allan Levy QC, barrister and children's rights campaigner.
The lecture, entitled Can you hear me, Your Honour?, will be given by Dame Brenda Hale, Justice of the UK Supreme Court. The lecture will be held in the Large Pension Room in Gray's Inn, London on Wednesday 27 July from 5.30 to 8.30pm.
A limited number of places are still available to book until midday tomorrow by contacting the ALC office via email: admin@alc.org.uk or by telephone 020 8224 7071.
After the lecture the Outstanding Newcomer in the field of Children Law Hershman Award 2011 will presented. Now in its seventh year, the award is given in recognition of the contributions of newcomers to the field of children law and to encourage them to continue to play an active role in shaping the future. Last year's nominations included University Students, Barristers and Solicitors alike.
