The Court of Appeal's decision in Robson v Robson [2010] EWCA Civ 1171, [2011] 1 FLR (forthcoming) takes a refreshingly common sense approach to the fair division of resources on divorce between two parties, who had been fortunate enough to inherit large wealth from the husband's late father. They had, thereafter, lived a married life intent, as second generation recipients, on spending the same on their own enjoyment.
