Judge Hickinbottom appointed to be a High Court Judge

Judge Gary Robert Hickinbottom has been appointed to be a Justice of the High Court.

The Lord Chief Justice will assign Judge Hickinbottom to the Queen's Bench Division.

Judge Hickinbottom, 52, was admitted as a Solicitor in 1981. He was appointed a Recorder in 1994, a Circuit Judge in 2001, Chief Social Security Commissioner and Child Support Commissioner in 2003, Chief Pension Appeal Commissioner in 2005 and is approved to sit as a deputy High Court Judge.
