UK College of Family Mediators changes name

Date:21 DEC 2007

Over the last 10 years, the UK College of Family Mediators has established and monitored best practice standards for family mediators and developed and promoted practice guidelines on a range of professional issues.

This year has been one of major change for the College. At an EGM held in London on 19 September, members voted overwhelmingly to amend the constitution and change the company name to The College of Mediators. These changes will allow the College to open and broaden its membership to mediators from other fields. The College aims to build on its experience of the last ten years to support best practice and promote innovation in mediation generally.
